In 1986 Ballistic Body Armour was formed to manufacture body armour.
It is based In Germiston, South Africa.
From the very beginning the company has had a policy of developing and testing our own products. To achieve this the company has always had an “in house” test laboratory and today has one of the most sophisticated
in the country including v50 testing according to STANAG 2920.
Over five years ago the company expanded into
blast protection products the same philosophy applied and we have access to an explosive test range to conduct our development work.
Overriding the research and development drive of the company, is the determination to maintain the highest standards of quality and product performance and we have been an ISO 9001 registered firm since 1999.
