In 1986 Ballistic Body Armour was formed to manufacture body armour. Ballistic Body Armour Manufactured the first bullet proof/resistant vest manufactured in South Africa.
Ballistic Body Armour (Pty) Ltd is based In Germiston, South Africa.
From the very beginning the Ballistic Body Armour has had a policy of developing and testing our own products. To achieve this the Ballistic Body Armour has always had an “in house” test laboratory and today has one of the most sophisticated
in the country including v50 testing according to STANAG 2920.
Over five years ago the Ballistic Body Armour expanded into
blast protection and EOD, IED products the same philosophy applied and we have access to an explosive test range to conduct our development work.
Overriding the research and development drive of the Ballistic Body Armour, is the determination to maintain the highest standards of quality and product performance and we have been an ISO 9001 registered firm since 1999.
